In the modern era, owning slaves has become increasingly difficult due to automation and the need for specialized knowledge. As menial tasks are automated, slaves are now required for skilled roles, necessitating some level of education. This education, however, exposes them to concepts of freedom and increases their risk of rebellion and escape.

TripTik085 Expedition Highlights

Visit a site where the Forlorn Hope research center battles the Amarr Empire's insidious vitoxin addiction, striving to restore freedom to former slaves.

Introduction

In the face of advancing automation and educated slaves, the Amarr Empire's oppressive use of vitoxin and vitoc has necessitated a robust response from the Republic of Minmatar to combat addiction and restore freedom.

Locations

In the modern era, owning slaves has become increasingly difficult due to automation and the need for specialized knowledge. As menial tasks are automated, slaves are now required for skilled roles, necessitating some level of education. This education, however, exposes them to concepts of freedom and increases their risk of rebellion and escape.

To maintain control, the Amarr Empire developed vitoxin and its antidote, vitoc. Vitoxin, a virus requiring daily doses of vitoc, not only prevents death but also induces a powerful addiction by creating euphoric highs. This method ensures that slaves remain dependent on their masters. In response, the Republic of Minmatar established the Forlorn Hope research center in Yrmori to combat this system and help former slaves overcome their addiction and reintegrate into society.
