TripTik153 Expedition Highlights

Visit a memorial site in Reschard honoring the victims of the Reschard V Disaster, one of the Gallente Federation’s darkest humanitarian catastrophes, where an entire world was devastated by a doomsday weapon strike, inviting travelers to reflect on the scale of the tragedy and remember the lives lost.

Introduction

In the low-security system of Reschard, a memorial stands in remembrance of those who died on Reschard V. More than a monument, it serves as a quiet warning from history: a world destroyed in moments, and a humanitarian failure remembered for generations. For travelers interested in Federation history, outer-region politics, and the consequences of capsuleer-era warfare, this site offers a sobering stop.

Locations

This monument honors the victims of the Reschard V Disaster, when, in YC108, an electromagnetic doomsday weapon detonated in the planet’s upper atmosphere. The blast saturated an entire hemisphere with lethal radiation and triggered global megastorms, devastating the surface and killing nearly ninety percent of all life. Survival was estimated at just one in fifty thousand.

The attack was later traced to the Equilibrium of Mankind, which deployed an Avatar-class Titan equipped with an unrestrained radiative doomsday device. Rescue efforts, led in part by the Sisters of EVE, came too late for most, and the Federation’s slow response drew lasting criticism. Today, the memorial stands as both a tribute to the lost and a reminder of the consequences of unchecked power.
