TripTik162 Expedition Highlights

Journey to the Iacta Space Plain, a quiet monument to Guristas ingenuity and the legendary origins of one of New Eden’s most iconic pirate battleships.

Introduction

Among the drifting rocks of the Iacta Space Plain lies a place where history and myth blur together. The beacon marks a site closely associated with the Guristas and their most recognizable creation—the formidable Rattlesnake. Whether the stories surrounding its creation are fact or carefully cultivated fiction, they remain part of the enduring identity of New Eden’s most infamous pirate cartel.

Locations

The Iacta Space Plain commemorates the work of Korako “Rabbit” Kosakami, one of the Guristas’ most celebrated engineers. According to pirate tradition, Kosakami designed the original Rattlesnake by drawing inspiration from the Caldari Navy’s Scorpion-class battleship and transforming it into a vessel worthy of the Guristas’ unconventional doctrine.

Not everyone agrees with that version of events. Another tale claims the opposite—that the Caldari later borrowed Kosakami’s own design, explaining the mysterious lack of official records surrounding the Scorpion’s early development. Whether history or propaganda, both stories have become inseparable from the legend of the Rattlesnake and the ingenuity of its creator.

Today, the beacon serves as a quiet reminder that the Guristas built their reputation not only through piracy, but also through innovation, adapting familiar technology into ships feared throughout New Eden.
