TripTik075 Expedition Highlights
These sprawling facilities were established by the new Caldari corporate blocs that rose in the wake of the Battle of Caldari Prime as places to coordinate their activities and projects.
Introduction
The end of the Battle of Caldari Prime in YC115 and subsequent resolving of the planet's diplomatic status led to the disintegration of the old political blocs among the "Big 8" Caldari megacorporations. These now-defunct alliances were the "Practical" bloc, consisting of the Sukuuvestaa, CBD, and Nugoeihuvi corporations and known for their unscrupulous and exploitative business practices; the "Liberal" bloc, consisting of the Ishukone and Hyasyoda corporations and known for their belief in good relations and mutually beneficial agreements; and the "Patriot" bloc, consisting of the Kaalakiota, Lai Dai, and Wiyrkomi corporations and known for their strong support of economic and military dominance as a way to secure the Caldari State's future.
The 8 megacorporations have since reorganized into new political factions better aligned with their current interests, and have established these extensive facilities to efficiently coordinate their joint operations.

Waypoint 1
The first of the new blocs to officially come about was PKN Interstellar, also known as the "Forest Faction" or "Dark Forest Business Club." Chiefly consisting of the CBD, Lai Dai, and Nugoeihuvi corporations, the Forest Faction is organized around the Modern Finances bank and includes a number of non-Caldari associate members under its umbrella, including Khanid Works, the Tash-Murkon Family, and Quafe. It also includes other associates and investors such as Semiotique Superluminal and Trust Partners.
The Forest Faction brings together substantial industrial, shipping, and communications infrastructure, along with an enormous network of contacts stretching across the cluster. They created and operate the HyperNet Relay and were the ones who redesigned the Jita 4-4 market hub into its current state. They're also the ones behind Expert Systems, rely on dedicated HyperNet channels. They're also known for their enormous smuggling network and rampant connections with organized crime, up to and including working directly with the Serpentis and Guristas to dodge trade restrictions and move goods across faction lines.

Waypoint 2
The second modern bloc is the Combine TNR, also known as the "Ocean Faction" or "Ocean Winds Corporate Community." Made up of the Ishukone, Hyasyoda, and Wiyrkomi corporations, this bloc originated as a trade and banking consortium formed in response to the Forest Faction and is dedicated to the expansion of Caldari influence and prosperity through a more aboveboard, liberal, and diplomatic approach to business. The Ocean Faction is largely responsible for the existence of AIR as one of its principal backers, with one of AIR's two cofounders being a former member of the Ishukone and TNR's connections and resources being integral to the project. They also created the Karura Lancer Dreadnought.

Waypoint 3
The last of the new blocs is the JSL Partnership, also known as the "Mountain Faction" or "Storm Peaks Policy Trust," consisting of the two biggest Caldari megacorporations: Kaalakiota and Sukuuvestaa. Between them, they control an enormous amount of space-based infrastructure along with immense planetary territory.
This alliance is in many ways the bedrock of the new Caldari political order and acts as the responsible older sibling to the other blocs. Conservative in nature, they chiefly concern themselves with maintaining the overall security and stability of the Caldari State. To that end, they work closely with the Caldari Navy and planetary security forces, conducting joint exercises and taking on massive contracts to upgrade, equip, and feed the Caldari military machine. If you see one of the Navy or State Protectorate facilities dotted throughout Caldari territory, chances are it was constructed by JSL. They also directly conduct diplomacy with the other empires on behalf of the State as a whole.
