1420:Gate Clouds of New Eden

TripTik023 Expedition Highlights

Distributed across Null Security space certain stargates possess companion gas clouds. This TripTik provides travel information for each type for those intrepid enough to track them down.

Introduction

Nebulas, Clouds, and Gates The harvesting, or huffing, of nebulas came into its own in YC108 when mykoserocin and cytoserocin gas clouds were recognized as foundational to medical boosters.

Oddly, differing types of mykoserocin and cytoserocin are never found together. Instead specific constellations give rise to specific “flavours” of gas. For example Amber Mykoserocin and Cytoserocin are found only in The Forge’s Mivora and Vale of the Silent’s E-8CSQ constellations. Why this differentiation exists remains an unanswered question.

On occasion travelers report clouds near gates leading into these gas rich constellations. Strangely these reports only mention those gates residing in Null Security space. Concord at one point had small naming beacons flagging the cloud types but these seem to have been driven offline following the fluid router blackout of Null Space in YC122.

Ship Recommendations and General Travel Advisory

The distance between these constellations requires extended time in Null Security space. Furthermore, the activities of capsuleer corporations, alliances and general warfare means that at no point should a visitor assume safe passage. Gate camps, warp bubbles, warp disruption spheres and individual/small gang hunting groups should be expected.

Signal Cartel recommends a positive attitude, the use of Thera to minimize inter-constellation distances and a nullified ship such as a Shuttle or T3C.

The locals are, almost always, appreciative of a wave in local. o/
